About NorthernBlue

Offshore Wind Advisory, Built from the Inside

Norwegian roots. International practice. Built on experience from inside the processes — not the outside looking in.

Who We Are

NorthernBlue is a boutique advisory firm specialising in offshore and floating wind — one of the most complex, high-stakes sectors in the global energy transition. We are built on deep operational experience from some of the sector's most significant regulatory and commercial processes.

We are not a large consulting firm. We are a small, sharp company that delivers insight with institutional depth and commercial relevance — choosing our engagements deliberately and optimising for leverage, not volume.

Rooted in Norway — one of the world's earliest and most demanding environments for floating wind development — we operate across European and international markets with that same institutional rigour.

What Sets Us Apart

NorthernBlue is independent — with no ties to any single technology vendor, project developer, or financial institution. This gives us the credibility to advise across the full stakeholder landscape simultaneously.

Our background is operational, not merely analytical. We have been inside the processes we now advise on — from leading Norway's first offshore wind licence under the Norwegian Offshore Energy Act to direct involvement in the country's first licensing rounds.

We are deliberately focused in what we take on — and when engagements require depth across multiple domains, we draw on a trusted network of specialists embedded in the sector.
